Thoughts on Steve Jobs Stanford Address 2005

Some time ago I started to read about Steve Jobs person and leadership. The more you read about his personality the more interesting it gets. The only problem is to filter out all the rumors and third-person or n:th person rumors and talk. So I stopped reading about people who used to know Steves dog-nanny’s cousin.

There are a lot of Youtube movies, talks and key notes. One of my favorites is the one below. Generally, the most inspiring ones, beside the key notes are the talkes he has made for different universities.

In the presentation back in 2005 he talkes about time and life. He said:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Talking about a good story teller, this is a great end for this Friday.
